8th December 2011
Netherton game.. This was our worst performance this season so far with a low work rate and we had probably lost the game in our minds before we had started. We let in a sloppy first goal and was only 1-0 down at half time. Second half we had everything to play for but we let them play football and did not close them down quick enough. The last 10 minutes was far too late to start to play good football. The only decent goal was the volley they done. Lets go forward now and forget that game and go back and play our normal football. Lets battle on.
Sir Alex
2nd December 2011
Northborough game.. we knew with a bumpy pitch, strong wind and only an 11 man squad it was going to be a difficult game. We had plenty of chances but they defended well keeping us at bay. Great goal direct from the corner, good goal keeping good defending kept us with a clean sheet. Well battled lads keep going strong.
Sir Alex
25th November 2011
Hungate game.. We knew this was going to be a tough match and we let in a sloppy early goal so we were on the back foot from the off. It didn't take us long to put them under pressure by hitting the crossbar twice and equalising in the first half. Second half they put us under some pressure and we had to defend well. To be honest a draw was a fair result as we should have put the game to bed in the first half. Another fine performance well done lads.
Sir Alex
18th November 2011
Horncastle game.. While warming up before the game we could see that the ball was going to bounce everywhere as we were playing on a very uneven and muddy pitch. We started off a bit slow but it wasn't long before you piled on the pressure, going into the break at 2-0 it was flattering for them. Second half we had several chances and scored a few of them which was good. Another good performance.
Sir Alex
10th November 2011
Oundle cup game.. I have never seen a game with so much possession and the score line looks like we only just won, the game should have been finished in the first half. We had so many chances but just couldn't find the net. Passing the ball around and keeping possession was and looked good but we must be more clinical infront of goal. Well done lads.
Sir Alex
1st November 2011
Deeping game.. Well this was certainly a game of two halves as Deeping pulled us apart as we allowed them to pass the ball around and not man marking them. After team talk at half time we came out a different side and we had more than our fair share of chances on goal and we should have scored more than what we did. On a positive note we came away with a point. We must start talking a bit more on the pitch but lets keep battling on.
Sir Alex
22nd October 2011
Coates game.. Well if I am honest it was a waste of time for us, going into half time 15-0 and this could of easily been 20-0, they wanted to throw the towel in and cut second half short. I told them that I would put my strikers in defence and keeper upfront and we scored even more goals. Lets face it, all of the lads were playing like it was a training session by having a bit of a laugh. Yes it was a bit of a joke but beating them 31-0 was like a rugby score. Lets keep going strong.
Sir Alex
13th October 2011
Scotter game.. We knew nothing about Scotter as a team so I looked them up on the League tables and they were unbeaten in the league this season. We knew then they were going to be a good side and they made it hard work for us. Our defence was put under alot of pressure in the first half and Goose had to pulled off several good saves to keep it 0-0 going into the break. Second half we came alive with the wind at our back we had a few good chances but the Scotter keeper also had a good game pulling off some fine saves. Craig put us in the lead with a fine goal and this was enough to put us through to the next round of the county cup. Another fine performance.
Sir Alex
03rd October 2011
Oundle game.. We know by previous games that Oundle always give us a good game and never give up. We started very well and put early pressure on them and it wasn't long before we scored, we also played alot of 6 yard passes which we looked alot more comfortable doing so, this was good to see. We was unfortunate to only be 2-1 at half time, we played some nice football in the second half which created 2 more goals. Another good performance.
Sir Alex
25th September 2011
Harrowby game.. We started a little slow also playing against the wind and slope didn't help, going 1-0 down we seem to keep our heads and soldier on which was good to see. We played well at the back stopping alot of through balls and created lots of chances, we need to finish more than we are doing tho.. Second half we had the wind and slope on our side but seem to struggle with the speed of the wind and slope by over hitting the ball. What was also good to see is that we went with a squad of 12 players and they had 22 players, i know we were getting tired but you hung in there. Well done lads.
Sir Alex
22nd September 2011
Glinton game.. We started very well and put early pressure on them and we had several chances but we had a job finding the net. Positive note is that we did create several chances and on a good day we would of converted them into several goals. Well done to Wanty and Neven on ther debut goals. Keep up the hard work.
Sir Alex
22nd April 2011
Deeping game... What a cracking game it was we had 3 good chances in the first half but Deeping keeper pulled off some fantastic saves to keep them in the game and only being 1-0 up at half time we had everything to play for. Second half we only had a couple of chances as they were going for it and once they equalised we put more pressure on them but we just couldn't find the net...
We have had a fantastic season this year and finishing 3rd in Division 1 in our first season in the top flight is down to your hard work so well done all players.
Sir Alex
9th April 2011
Hungate game... We started the game with plenty of possession and good passing of the ball, then we allowed them into the game and being 1-1 at half time we had alot to play for second half. Second half you came out better than you finished and started to play your normal football and a cracking goal from Danny from the left wing. Keep battling hard lads.
Sir Alex
30th March 2011
Netherton game... We knew it was going to be a difficult game against a side with a 100% record in the league. We all had to put in a 100% effort and I couldn't ask for much more (apart from a win) and you didn't let me down. It was good to go 1-0 up and put the pressure on them, they scored two good goals in the first half. Second half we seemed to put them under alot more pressure and I thought it was only time before we scored. We rattled them so much they started to keep there foot in with some late challenges. We lost first half 2-1 and drew second half 0-0. We can come away with our heads held high as we gave 100% effort. Well done Lads.
Sir Alex
23rd March 2011
Sawtry game... We had so many chances in the first half and could of easily been 4/5 nil up, but we just couldn't find the net. We were so relieved when we got a goal in the second half and could have had a few more, but it was one of those games where we had most of the play but it only takes the one break for them to equalise. Even though it was only one nil its still 3 points in the bag. Well done lads.
Sir Alex
9th March 2011
Wittering game... Wow! what a game that was, we knew it was going to be a hard game as they beat Yaxley 6-1. Going into half time 0-0 there wasn't much between both teams, second half they scored direct from a corner and there wasn't much we could do with that. As for chances i thought we had more of them with two cleared off the line. We definately deserved a draw but it wasn't to be, but what a great game to watch.
Keep it up lads.
Sir Alex
28th February 2011
Langtoft game, it took us 10 minutes to settle and take control of the game and then it was an enjoyable game to watch with lots of passing and moving of the ball. There were some good goals and lots of domination of the game but we all knew that we had a score to settle with these lads...
Keep up the standard of football.
Sir Alex
14th February 2011
Just like to welcome Ed Booth and family to Holbeach United.
Yaxley game... We conceeded early from a deflection and was lucky to only be 1-0 down at half time. Second half we put alot more effort into the game and started to create chances, we battled alot better and we was unlucky not to get a goal. We have to remember Yaxley have been in Division 1 for a lot of years and been very successful, also we were playing with a very under strength side today. We lost this battle today but the war aint over...
Sir Alex
10th February 2011
Langtoft game is a game i don't want to say much about.. Yes the pitch was very uneven and it was a very windy day but the conditions were the same for both teams. We have to forget what position in the league the team we are playing against and don't take nothing for granted. The only thing i can say in our defence is that we had a lot of injuries and unwell players that day but that dosen't justify the way we played.
Remember we have to dust ourselves down and pull our socks up for the rest of the season and just hope that was a one off performance.
Sir Alex
24th January 2011
Yaxley, semi final of the cup and what a game it was. It was a game of two half's as we had plenty of chances in the first half and we went 2-0 up and 2-1 at the break. We all knew that they were going to pressure us in second half as they had the wind, slope and nothing to loose attitude by putting players forward. We defended for our lives at times but we knew that the pressure they were putting on us it was only going to be time before they were going to equalise. I was well impressed with most of you as you never gave up even when they took the lead and then George Groves hit the crossbar !! I couldn't believe it. Yaxley are a very good passing side, you have to remember Yaxley won Division 1 08/09 and came runners up 09/10. They have been the side to beat for many years so keep you chins up and keep battling hard as you have been. Well done.
Sir Alex
18th January 2011
Crowland game... What a great result and well deserved win. I thought you played well in the first half against the wind and took your chances well, they didn't cause us many problems as there was only a couple of threatening players which we knew about. They tried to hoof everything up front which we knew they would. Second half we defended our lead well and still had a few good chances which we should of converted but on the whole it was a fantastic game and result. Once again well done.
Sir Alex
10th January 2011
After last weeks cup game we played Oundle again in a league game. We started slowly making it hard work for yourself, Oundle were passing the ball well and we were doing alot of chasing after it. Being 1-1 at half time, we knew we had to do something about it. It was certainly a game of two halfs as second half you came out a different team, passing and moving the ball and scoring 4 more goals also created several chances.
We have got to remember to do this early in future! Once again well done lads.
Sir Alex
5th January 2011
Oundle..They are a side we always struggle to beat as they are a good passing team with some good player's. Sundays game, we were very rusty as this was our first game back in 6 weeks but saying that we lacked in passing and this is basic's in football. Possitive's were that we never gave up until the final whistle went and this was 100 minutes of football action which is a long game for anybody. I think get our fitness back and our passing back we will go a long way. Keep battling hard.
Sir Alex
23rd November 2010
Northborough game... I can't believe how differently we played in a week! We are our own worst enemy at times as we make things difficult for ourselves. We must remember when we attack we must attack wide and defend narrow. We were attacking too narrow making it very easy for them to mark us, saying this you always seem to do enough to win and get 3 points so well done.
Sir Alex
16th November 2010
Well done lads what a cracking game.My only fear is that you raised your game this week because you were playing Yaxley, dont slacken off when you play the lower teams, remember they will be raising their game when they play you.
Roman Nappyman
15th November 2010
Well, well, well, what a fantastic result against Yaxley. They came runner's up in division one last season & are a fantastic passing team. First half you didn't do much wrong apart from not chasing the second ball, which Kev & myself said to you all at half time. The second half you put this right & you were all awesome, Craig's thunder header, Staino's penalty & Jake's thunder strike put the game to bed. Not forgetting that we also hit the crossbar!! Goosey you had a good game especially playing with an injury, defenders you were faultless this week looking & helping each other, centre mid you had no choice but to battle hard & you did this well, knocking the balls to the wings, you wingers also played well knocking the balls into the box & strikers you played well bringing midfield into your game. Once again lads you were all fantastic, Well done.
Sir Alex
10th November 2010
Park Farm game was a big wake up call for everyone.. I think you all went into the game thinking that they are a division 2 side and it was going to be a walkover, how wrong you were. Passing in the first half was non existant and wasn't alot better in the second half. The score line flattered us but we all know it could of gone the other way as they had some good chances. Possitives were that we didn't play well but we still won 4-1. Lets go into Yaxley's game with a different attitude and lets play some good football and battle hard.
Sir Alex

Roman Nappyman,
It may have been quiet on the touch line that is because I encourage the boys at all times... unlike you!!!!
I am pleased the stand in tea lady did a good job, rest assured though Nappy man you will get extra ingredients in yours this week that will really give you something to chew on!!

Next weeks dance will be the birdy song dance. I thought we better keep it simple as long as mel was coming back. Two comments were made on sunday.1- how quiet it was on the touch line, 2- how quick the service was from the tea stall, I wonder why?

Can i say how much I enjoyed the strictly come dancing performance on the touchline on sunday. This week was the jive, next week is the quick step. Roman Nappyman
1st November 2010
Oundle game was certainly a game of two halves, first half we must of had 80% possession with most of the play in there half, you once again produced some lovely passing football in this half and the only clean break they had they score from it. Saying that, they should never score from a tight angle at the near post!! Apart from that Goose made some fine saves. The difference is when a keeper makes a mistake it normaly ends in the back of the net but an outfield player makes a mistake there is normaly someone to clear it up. Second half they came out the better team even though we scored 4 goals in this half. Positives from this game was that even though we didn't play as well second half we still kept scoring and never gave up. Well done lads.
Sir Alex
18th October 2010
Crowland game as I said from the start we knew it was going to be a hard game with some very physical challenges, several times they came into us studs up & the referee allowed the game to continue, this was only going to result in confrontation! This was why Kev & myself said something to the referee. I am glad you didn't crumble under the pressure & you also made some good, firm challenges. I said at half time one goal would probably win the game & it was a big midfield battle. Craig well done for stepping in as keeper, as this isn't an easy job, defenders you all played well in stopping Crowland having a clean shot, midfield you worked tirelessly to the end which just left one striker which made it hard for him & we knew it wasn't going to be a high scoring game. Matt Taylor that was a fantastic goal to win us the three points we deserved.
Sir Alex
12th October 2010
Another great performance against Sawtry, you passed the ball around the pitch well which created all our chances and only being 3-0 up at half time flattered them as we could of easy been 5-0. Second half you made no errors in finishing as you netted 6 in this half. Goose was nealiy asleep as he didn't have much to do, any chances they had we cut them out of the game. Well done lads.
Sir Alex
29th September 2010
Sundays game against Wittering.... Wow what a game, this was certainly a game of two halves. We were all over them in the first half, we could of easily been 3-0 up, they were on the back foot for a long while. Second half we knew they were going to come out guns blazing as they had nothing to loose and everything to play for. We kept them at bay until they got a goal back, this was a lack of communication between keeper and defence. This seemed to give them extra bodies behind the ball as the last 10 minutes they were giving us grief. What a fantastic team effort and to come away with 3 points at Wittering isn't easy as many teams will tell you. Also I would like to say what a cracking first goal that was Staino. That win made my weekend.
Sir Alex
29th September 2010
Yeah rite Roman we will see hahahahahahahaha!!!!! BE AFRAID....... VERY AFRAID!
27th September 2010
Thanks to everybody for there concern on sunday.I will tell you now there will be no return for nappyman in the near future.I can see it now. What the hell are you lot going to dream up for presentation evening this year.ILL BE READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a real test of character following last years game, at what can only be described as a farse.I thought this ref handled the difficult game well. It shows how much you have matured since that game, where we were kicked off the pitch. I thought the dicsipline and respect for the game was exemplory, even though at times your patients was tested to the very limits. As John said at the end it was a team effort. Yes some of you had a better game than the others but never the less it was really a team effort and "all of you" contributed to what was a great result. As a parent watching the game it gave me great satisfaction and pride. Well done Lads.
Dave Weightman

well, done lads, paul plzs get helment on we dont want anymore dizzy spells. Suzanne Clifton
21st September 2010
What a fantastic start against Deeping, 1-0 inside 40 seconds. We had some good chances in the first half and we attacked well, we also had to defend well as it was end to end football. Second half they really put the pressure on as we were on the back foot for a while but i must say you really did dig in deep and defend well.If i'm honest i think they were slightly fitter than us and a draw was a good result for us. We must take alot of positives from the game as i still say you played well against a much improved side.
Sir Alex
The whole squad would like to wish Lewis a speedy recovery.
13th September 2010
Another great performance again lads against Hungate, you defended well and produced some nice moves and created loads of chances on goal. In the first half they defended in numbers that's why we only got 1 goal. After the break they piled on the pressure which left them open at the back allowing us to bang in the goals.
Sir Alex
5th September 2010
Well done today lads this was a great start to the season, there was plenty of good passing which was good to see with plenty of chances on goal. Craig's opening goal was a good relaxing start followed by Alex's great strike. 2-1 at half time flattered them as we were all over them, Tom's screamer saw us pile on more pressure and then with Kiran's cool slot home made it a well deserved 3 points. Great start lads, keep it up.
Sir Alex
20th August 2010
First of all I would like to welcome new signings Jake Burton, George Stainfield and Kiran Bhondi to Holbeach United.
Well done boys on Sunday against a team a year above yourselves, from the whistle you put them under pressure and your first touch and passing especially in the first half was fantastic. I knew your fitness had to come in the second half as we are not used to a big pitch and extra time, that allowed them to put a little pressure on us which you delt with well. It was a fantastic result for us and the overall feedback was good. Keep up the good work.
Sir Alex
13th May 2010
Sawtry game was a game of two halves as we dominated most of the first half and only scored a single goal, we should have been 3-0 up but they defended well. After the break Sawtry put on the pressure as we knew they would and we were on the back foot for a while, as normal you handled it well. You have all had a fantastic season and done your parents, gran parents and myself proud. Once again well done your Division 2 CHAMPIONS !!!
Sir Alex
4th May 2010
Oundle's game was another tough game which we knew it would be,once again we has chances to score but it was difficult when you had 9 lads defending for there lives!!! Once the first goal went in it was'nt long before the second one.I must say it was good to see the passing along the back and in midfield also switching from left to right. Well done lads.
Sir Alex
30th April 2010
Eye game, we knew this was going to be a tough one as they have improved alot and we only won 1-0 at home. First half we created a lot of chances and defended well, going into the break 0-0 we knew it was going to be a gruelling second half. You did it again battled hard to break them down then you dug deep with good fitness and could of scored a few more goals than you did, but 3-0 was still a good result. Well done again lads.
Sir Alex
20th April 2010
Deeping game. Well lads you never cease to amaze me... With the heat and rock hard ground conditions you still put 100% effort into the game. The first half Deeping was attacking hard and we absorbed the pressure well, we had a couple of chances ourselves. You came off at half time a goal down and your heads also down, after an encouraging team talk you came out all guns blazing, before you knew it we were 3-1 up!!!! The morale got better and better and it was a fantastic game to watch even though i could'nt wait for the final whistle. Once again well done lads.
All 3 Deeping managers/coaches said we can't believe how hard it was to break down your defence and you have some good players which is good to hear.
Sir Alex
19th April 2010
well done lads, you may just have sealed promotion today.Id just like to say from a parents point of view, how well you all did today. The defence were solid in the first half, under waves of pressure.Goose was just fantastic. In the second half all midfield and attacking players were brilliant.well done again lads. paul
well done for giving me the currage to be a great keeper thanx Goose
13th April 2010
Glinton game was another good result for us again, a lack of communication at the back was our only major mistake which we made up for by netting more goals in the second half. Once again we created lots of chances but Glinton defended well, we just have to be a bit more clinical in front of goal. Keep it going lads.
Sir Alex
31st March 2010
Sawtry game was a better team performance than last game even though the score was 3-0 instead of 5-0. We had a lot more play than last game even against the wind, i would also like to mention how well our defence are doing and helping Goosey with his clean sheets. Keep it going Lads.
Sir Alex
23rd March 2010
Eye game was a good game to watch as you played some nice football and had lots of chance's to make the score line bigger.... I Know you dominated both half's of the game but you have got to take your hats off to Eye as they defended really well and looked dangerous on the break. They have improved a lot from the start of the season. Keep up the hard work lads.
Sir Alex
17th March 2010
Can I say how much I enjoyed the game on sunday. You lads are giving me very tough job to decide who gets the bike at the end of season.Well to everyone, you made my weekend. Paul Hicks
16th March 2010
This Sunday's game against Sawtry was a good team performance, i must admit if there manager said to me at half time lets give you a 1-0 win i would of been well happy, as we had to defend most of the first half as they passed the ball really well. But you done me and your parents proud by digging in deep. A good team talk at half time and you went out there a different side. You all done your bit, Goosey you pulled off some fantastic saves, defence you were kept well busy most of the game especially first half, midfield you battled well and put some good through balls in and last of all strikers you also played well making the most of the chances we had. M.O.M. Craig that was a perfect hatrick with a left & right foot goal then a header.
Sir Alex
15th March 2010
according to the Peterborough league results site Deeping lost at Eye yesterday, thats a good result for us !
14th March 2010
well done lads keep up the good work, Goose
28th February 2010
Well done today lads against Thorney, that was one of our best passing games we have played for along time and we created lots of chances. It really was a joy to watch the way you all looked and talked to each other today. Keep it up lads.
Sir Alex
17th February 2010
Wittering cup game... The main problem there was the referee as he seem to miss all the bad tackles and let everything go. The 1st half with the score level we seem to hold our own, second half we gave away a free kick outside the box and the referee then gave them a penalty. They then continued with what i can only call brut force and ignorance, kicking lumps out of us and our heads droped a little. The score 4-0 to them made it look like them thrashed us but that was not the case as we made them work hard for it. I don't normally blame referee's but if he took control of the game in the 1st half it wouldn't of turned out like it did... You all played ok so lets take positives out of the game and keep on battling in.
Sir Alex
25th January 2010
Well done lads that was a fantastic result against Deeping, one of the best sides in our division. The 1st half could of gone eather way but the second half you was brilliant,I couldn't of wished for a better result, you all started looking for each other and this was good. Keep up the hard work...
Sir Alex
14th January 2010
good luck for the rest of the season lads. ill be getting your scores. so you better bang some away ( unlike craig has been hahahahahah)

16th December 2009
Well done lads you played well in poor conditions against Thorney. We created a lot of chances in first half but i do realise how slippery it was out there for you,it was hard enough just to walk on let alone run.
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you all. Now i have said merry but lets keep the BEER to a minimum lads ok LOL
Sir Alex
14th December 2009
come on lads we can still win the title, tommy
13th December
Deeping were beaten at Sawtry today which puts us in second place over christmas !
5th December 2009
heyy peeps we can do this to moz dont let us down lol keep going well done , Marcus Clifton
2nd December 2009
Oundle match was a game of 2 halves, 1st half you were all over them and i thought to myself how did we draw against them last time as we were just dominated them. This thought wasn't going through my head later!! Second half it was a completely different story as we spent most of the time defending...We make a silly mistake and then went to pieces, but on a positive note we still got a point.
Sir Alex
Come on lads, Mums and Dads why don't you put your comments on....
23rd November 2009
I haven't said anything about the Glinton match as i put it down to a bad day, but it was still a win.
But today against Hungate you were a completely different team playing some fantastic football. As i said after the match there easily could have been quite a few m.o.m. Conor played his best match this season, Notty and Ashley had a good game keeping themselves busy, glad to see Alex's fitness coming back, you and Rosey played some good balls out to the wings and you both had a good game. Matt Taylor and Danny run well on the wings and running riot in the box and Tom with some good strikes but the Hungate keeper kept the score down. It was just a great game to watch, well done all...
Sir Alex
3rd November 2009
What can i say about Cleethorpes game... I think we was very unlucky not to come away with a win after hitting the woodwork 4 times and dominating 70% of the game. It just shows you that standing off for a second and allowing them to shoot has cost us the game. Even though i hate losing i think you all put a lot of effort into the game especially in dreadful conditions so well done all.
Sir Alex
12th October 2009
Another fine display on Sunday against Thorney lads. It took a good 25min to break them down but once you did there was nothing stopping you, the second half your fitness was incredible as Thorney couldn't keep up with you which resulted it plenty of chances for us. I would like to thankyou all for coming at short notice also Rosey for your support, Alex still came with a injury just to help out in anyway he could as he is so frustrated with not being able to play properly and a big thankyou to Matt for travelling down all the way from Barnsley to help out his team mates as you will all agree that is dedication for you. I could ask for no more lads as you all done your bit.....
Sir Alex
2nd October 2009
Well done again lads against Oundle, it just shows you that you can battle it out with good sides and hold your own even with the amount of injuries we have within the squad. If i was honest i think it was a fair result for both teams as no one deserved all the points. On a good day with a full squad i will be going for the full 3 points and that is well achievable.
Sir Alex

Sorry i havn't said anything about the Deeping game where i think the referee was very harsh on Conor as it wasn't a goal scoring opportunity as Notty was between there striker and Conor, it should of been a Yellow not strait RED. Well i suppose thats football for you but apart from that i think we had plenty of chances as they did. Deep down i would of liked a draw but i know you all worked your socks off and you battled until that final whistle, what more can i ask for...
Well done lads on your victory against Eye, I'm pleased to see that you played some good football especially in the first half were we had at least 4 goal scoring chances but the Eye keeper was on form.
Sir Alex
7th September 2009
Well lads what a fantastic start to the season, they was lucky with a 7-1 defeat, there was at least a couple cleared off the line and a couple of near misses so it could of been double figures. Also i would like to say well done to you all as you all played your part, also well done to all of the new squad members. I would just like to mention Chris again on a excellent performance at the back and Craig with your hatrick on your debut. Once again well done all.
Sir Alex

"Outwell tournament..well another alround solid performance by both teams especially when you had to play each other in the semi-finals, you played some good football. I would just like to mention how well Craig Weightman played on his debut for us. Yellows you did it again getting to the final but you came runners up to Downham who we managed to beat in the group stages, but thats football but well done to you all."
Sir Alex
10th June 2009
Just wanted to say well done to all of the boys who went to Hungate 6 aside tournament on Sunday. There was lots of Division 1 teams playing from different leagues. These teams were among them : Wisbech St Mary, Wittering, Downham, Outwell, Hungate and Wisbech all having 2 teams playing, there was 15 teams that entered in total and the YELLOWS made it to the Final against Downham. The whole tournament they only let in 2 goals. There was lots of talking going on from several managers about Holbeach's strong squad which was good to hear. The Final what a game !!!! it had everyone on there toes with end to end football and at full time it was even 0-0, then went to extra time and there was still no score. Boys lost on the dredded penalty shoot out but what a fine display of football from both teams. Once again well done to you all.
Sir Alex

Hi lads, I just want to say you have done really well this season and tried as best as you can! People think if you loose it is just taking part but it isn't the main bit is winning like we did!
Anyway lads happy easter have a great day and don't eat to much chocolate else you will be fat and train hard at training to get the fat of you.
Lexi(mascot)
30th March 2009
Well done boys you are now league CHAMPIONS !!!!! and what a fine display it was. What you have got to remember is Eye are second in the league and you made them look like they were a league below us with your passing and movement. Captain Notty, I couldn't of chosen a better lad to be captain as you have done everything i have asked for and more. When we have gone a goal down you are there egging the boys on as well as congratulating them when they have scored, not forgetting all the rest of the squad players as you all have done your bit in making this a season to remember.
Thanks Sir Alex
29th March 2009
Well Done Lads I Am So Proud To Lead You To Victory On My First Season And I Feel Such A Part Of The Team And Thank You John And Chris For Making Me Feel So Welcome.
Thank You
From Notti
See You Thursday Boys And Girls
You saved your best performance til last, in what was arguably a faultless display.
Enjoy your celebrations as league champions. Once again you have done yourselves proud.
Thank you. Chris
23rd March 2009
Well boys with Eye only beating Coates 4-0 on Sunday,It means that they will have to beat us 28-0 to pip us for the title.
All I need to say is both John and myself are very pleased of the way you have conducted yourselves this season and with one more game to go, a clean sheet and a perfect unbeaten season, would be the cherry on top of the title winning cake. Go out on Sunday, play your football and enjoy what has been a wonderful first season in the Junior Alliance, and a fitting way for me to bow out as your coach. Thank you for making me feel so proud of you all. Chris
2nd March 2009
Well done today boys on your great win, all 16 squad players are now on the score sheet even keeper Conor and Brandon. What a cracker George Groves goal was !!! Well done Tom netting 7 and Nathan netting 6. Even though it was one way traffic you wasn't greedy and played some lovely football. Jack, Notty and Rosey played some nice single touch passing football, once again WELL DONE...
Sir Alex

2nd February 2009
Well done again boys on winning today but i must say it wasn't a good performance, some simple passing didnt happen!! A few of you wanted to take the whole team on by yourselves! If you do this next week against W.St Mary they will tear us apart so lets get back to our old ways and show them what we can do. On a positive note we didn't play well but still won and are now top of the league with a game in hand. Division 2 here we COME!!!!!
Sir Alex.
25th January 2009
Well boys, I would just like to say even though we lost 4 - 0 I thought we played good football especially in the second half where they only scored once. The score line did not reflect the game what so ever. On another day we would of finished two good chances which we had in the first half & two good chances in the second half, but that's football I'm afraid to say! Chris & I are very pleased with all of your performances today so keep your heads up & lets battle on!!
Sir Alex.
19th January 2009
Well done boys you all played well and done your bit in todays well deserved win. We are the first team this season to keep a clean sheet against them, so that was an achivement in itself. There was some very good defending and well timely challenges by us. Being only 1-0 up at half time it could of gone either way but second half you used the wind to your advantage and scored more GOAAAALS.. Sir Alex
I'm running out of things to say regarding your performances this season. The result says it all, and when the opposition resort to kicking you, it proves what a superior team you are. Congratulations to Michie for banging in 4, but I was especially pleased by the way the defence, and Conor performed today, with their never say die attitude, and the way the midfield got back to help. If I'm not mistaken we are now the only under 13 team with a 100% record this season, so lets keep that run going next week. Have belief in yourselves and you will continue to make us all proud. Well Done. Fabio!!!!!!!
15th December 2008
What a festive feast you dished up today for us all. Neat, crisp, thoughful passing. It was a joy to witness the standard you have acheived. I am so proud of the football you are producing this season and I know John is as well. Have a great night at Laser Storm, enjoy your festivities, and lets return after the break hungry to move on to the next level. Well Done, you all deserve a pat on the back. Have a Merry Christmas and a league winning New Year. Fabio !!!!!!!!!
14th December 2008
Well done boys, today was your best performance so far. Everybody who got the ball always looked for someone to pass to instead of just kicking it anywere. Half time talk, well there wasn't much to say apart from do what you are already doing and the goals will carry on coming, which they did! Lovely 1 to 1 passing and some good first touches. I hope you all enjoy yourselves on Friday night at Laser Storm and have a good xmas. Sir Alex
well played today lads, very sure it was 14-2, lets enjoy ourselves on friday at laser
see you all there from conor

Happy Birthday John! Brandon

Does anyone have any news on Mich is he getting fit ?
30th November 2008
Well done again boys you did everything i asked for today, even though we went 1-0 down we kept our heads up and battled in. Some great timely challenges by you Notty, good pace and effort by both Matt's, good work rate by Tom and man of the match Nathan, fast running by forest gump ( Danny )and some good saves by an unwell Conor. Just a good alround performance by everyone, just shows with some players missing we can still play well and attack hard. Sorry to Benedict and Brandon for not using you both, but as i said on Thursday night to you both it was going to be close game and i didnt want to disrupt the flow of the game. I do appreciate you both for coming.
Sir Alex
Well done to the entire Holbeach under 13's squad, against a good team who are situated in a higher league! A thrilling Cup game to watch, especially extra time!! The best team won, certainly in my opinion and the crowd were right behind every Holbeach kick. Glad to have made the journey up from Leytonstne, East London.
Good luck in the next round chaps!!
Dale (now a Holbeach fan!!)
What a game lads. Proud to have been there to witness an excellent team performance that showed you can all tough it out with the best of them. Several very note worthy performances today i thought. Captain Notty played a true captains game with many excellent tackles and superb reading of the game. Nathan scared them to death every time he had the ball at his feet and was a worthy Man of the match. Danny played very well also and caused numerous problems with his tireless running, speed and excellent tracking back to help the back 4. Well done also to Lewis who took over from George who struggled initially with a lad who was a handfull and did cause us some concern. You redeemed yourself George when out on the wing with some good work and thoughtful passages of play that created a couple of chances and indeed a goal. Well done also to Tom, Jack, Rosie, Matt who ran their socks off and pretty much dominated i think the mid field battle. Conor also played his part with some good saves and in particular right at the end where he pushed the ball away low to his left for the ball to be cleared. If i have forgotten any of you i'm sorry but you all exelled today. Well done Ian

Chris,
you meant to put the late 70's.(The late 80's who does he think he's kidding!!) Dementia so obviously already set in. hehe. Mel
25th November 2008
Hi everyone,
Just a short note to tell you that I have written a letter to the league regarding the late postponement on Sunday by the alledged collusion of the Coates management and the referee, the fact that there were only 2 Coates players available at 10-25 and that having made the difficult journey to the ground, the referee didn't wait any length of time to see if the match could be started after a little delay . Obviously because we are not a Peterborough team nothing will get done, but at least we have vented our frustration to them. Once again we apologise for the debacle, but i'm afraid like john says if we hadn't have turned up then we would have lost the points, and fined. Best we hammer them when we do get to play them, win every game we can and score over 100 goals to prove there is more to this league than Peterborough teams.
P.s. It used to be like this when I played in the league back in the 80's nothing changes, we won everything then, it really peed the league off then as well.
23rd November 2008
It appears to me that Coates had no intention of playing today even though i phoned them this morning and her reply ( their secretary ) was that the conditions were good to play. 25 min past 10 Coates only had 2 players there so how could they play anyway !!!!! The ref was talking to her and then come to a decision that it was icy and too dangerous to play. My blades on my boots went straight into the ground with no problem ! My apologies to everyone but it was out of my control. If we had not of turned up they would of said it was ok and taken the points and we would of been fined.

I'm only going by what I have been told but apparently there was two good goals from Rosie and Mich, and a couple of fine saves from Conor well Done. We are top of the league !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fabio

Well done for the win ace goals by michie and nathan flick shot well wicked soon win the league.. brad
six out of six. Well done to you all. Well taken chances in the first half and good passing and moving in the second half, it could have been many more. neat one touch football by Nathan, strong tackling from Jack and all the defence, a strikers goal by Michie, and strong goalkeeping made it a good team effort. Especially well done to MOM Jamie, you earned your goal today and may you go from strength to strength for the rest of the season. Keep it up Fabio
8th November 2008
Draw for 2nd round of league cup Away to Glinton Black..Chris
4th November 2008
Well done for sunday boys, a hard fought game but you came through a tough test very well. You should now realise that a game is never won before you play it. I applaud your never say die attitude. I am also very pleased at the way you grouped together as a team when the game wasn't going your way,and celebrated your goals as a team, you dug deep and were eventually rewarded for your perceverance. On a very small pitch it difficult to express yourselves to your usually high standards, but a win is a win, and we cannot ask for anything more.
Well done to the goalscorers, but i want to especially say well done to Matt Taylor who was absolute mint on Sunday, by breaking up the play, and especially for the way you tracked back all game, a well deserved MoM. Keep it up, Fabio

P.F.A. 2nd round draw Holbeach v Deeping Rangers 30th November 08
15th October 2008
Well done boys for another victory. The football you produced in the second half was better than England's performance in the first half and I was at both obviously.Congratulations to Michie for scoring 4, watch everybody, how he always follows the shot in just in case the goalie spills it. Superb free kick Notty, took me back to when I was your age !!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicely taken goal Nath. Those of you who nearly scored keep the faith it will come, you have to be patient and the goals will start flowing for you all. Bingy, you were awesome in defence this week, with your timing and anticipation. Not the most fluent performance of the season, but i cannot complain when you knock 6 in. Well done keep it up you're making us all proud......Fabio
22nd September 2008
Well what can i say but WELL DONE LADS for a great performance by you all. I've had the Peterborough evening telegraph ring me today regarding your last 3 games on the high scores that we have achieved, hopefully this will be in Wednesday's E.Telegraph. Most of you have been on the score sheet in these 3 games and may it continue throughout the season, once again WELL DONE. It was my starting line up what gave you the lead not Chris's management skills! LOL Sir Alex ( AKA John )
21st September 2008
Thank you boys for the way you behaved today against Coates, it would have been easy to drop your standards against a under strength team, and try to play as individuals and not as a team, but you didn't. You did everything I asked of you and were very sporting to the opposition. Do not expect to win like that every week but I do expect the same level of determination, and teamwork as we have experienced over the last three weeks. You never know we might experience the wing wizardry of Branno Ronaldo again some day soon. Well done and I can now tell John that he hasn't won 23 nil as manager yet hee hee.
Fabio (Chris)

Another GREAT performance by you all, created lots of chances and finished most of them. Just got to switch on earlier, once the goals started going in there was no stopping you. Cant beleive how well you passed the ball with accuracy, this is what football is about a TEAM effort. WELL DONE........ Sir Alex ( aka John )
9th September 2008
you have done something this weekend that your professional counterparts couldn't do,. apart from being able to watch you live, you played with skill, passion, commitment, and a desire to play exciting football. I personally cannot wait til you start playing well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well Done a wonderful all round performance. It would be unfair to single any one of you out. High Fives to you all.
Chris (fabio)
8th September 2008
I would just like to say boys what a fantastic game you played today, every team player contributed in one way or another to help us win a magnificent 9-1 victory. The pass backs to the keeper & lay offs was done professionally & accurately. The feedback I had from the ref, opposition manager & supporters was great. Well done to Michie, Nath, Tom & Danny for scoring great goals. I just hope we can keep this form up for the rest of the season. COME ON YOU TIGERS!!!!!!!!
Sir Alex (aka John).

10th March 2008
First half performance was nothing spectacular, but second half you completely dominated most of the play with some great passing and good team work from keeper through to the strikers. Keep this up lads as this showed us ALL that the last game against the Blues was a blip on our behalf and we are the better team as our results in the league show. Sir Alex (AKA John!)I think thats right. Lol.
27th February 2008
If your 30ish then if I eat another kitkat I'll break the 10 stone barrier and steve the 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously though boys, another solid TEAM performance. That's why we didn't give a man of the match this week because you all played your bit in a team performance, if i was to have a moan at you then its your lack of talking on the pitch, still. Nevertheless you still came up with the goods. Keep it up. Well done. Chris (AKA Fabio)
26th February 2008
Well done boys, I had my doubts when we conceeded an early goal and was on the back foot for the first 10 minutes, that was how long it took you boys to wake up !!! (Now reaching 30ish!! my heart can't take it!). Luckily you did start to play some good football and created some good chances. For the second year running you have made it to the final so that is a good achievment in itself. Lets keep on working hard and let the ball do the hard work by passing it about with some one / two touches. We need to remain focused for the rest of the season so we can have two lots of silver wear (not being greedy though)in the club house. Lets do it boys as Chris and I believe in you as you should believe in yourselves. WERE IN THE FINAL !!!!!!! John (AKA Sir Alex)
11th February 2008
Well done boys, you have played really well!!! We are all very proud of you. Nolan
10th February 2008
well done boys i cannot beleive how well we all played today, brilliant. Brad
WOW You have proved to yourselves that you can mix it with the best and parson drove are one of best. A performance that would have graced a cup final so John said. You played as a team and when you do that you are a match for any team. Well done, I'm really miffed that i couldn't be there. John said you closed down very well and never let the ball bounce in front of you. keep it up, work hard in training, eat the right foods in the holidays and get plenty of sleep for next weekend. Well done Sam for slotting into defence so well, Curtis for your man of the match performance, Tom and Brad for your tenacity and work rate . Crouchy for improving your fitness and stamina, Jamie for taking your goal so well, and the rest of you for your overall performance and never say die spirit. I'm really proud of you all... Chris (AKA Fabio Capello)
9th February 2008
WELL DONE lads you did myself & Chris very proud today, even though Chris wasn't there i gave him a running commentry on the well deserved draw with one of the best sides you will ever come across. You not only did us proud, but also your mums, dads and grandparents as they were very supportive. Keep the work rate up as its paying off. John AKA ( Alex Ferguson )

3rd February 2008
well done lads for the game against long sutton, we all played brilliant lets try and do it again at parson drove next week, well done. from Brad
28th January 2008
Well done lads, determination and a never say die attitude won the game. People will see the result and think it might be a poor performance, in reality it was far from that. Their keeper was outstanding on the day, and but for him it could have been a cricket score. You created plenty of chances by passing the ball, and working as a team, something both myself and John are very proud of. Keep it up for the rest of the season and you will be rewarded for your efforts. Chris
7th January 2008
2008 keep up all your hard work john&chris its appreciated keep up your hard work on the website john as us boys love it. lets beat long sutton on saturday by passing the ball and one touch football as we do, not like losing. Jamie

Congrat's John, hope there is many more!! Nolan, Aiden, Ruth and Max.
9th December 2007
Well done boys you played a lot better than last week , creating some good chances on a very wet and cold morning. You all played well from keeper to strikers, last time we played them there were 9 goals scored in total, this game only 1. It just shows what a close game it was. John. Mr Rose you are right i dont look 40 probably 29ish i wish!!!
He ain't grown much, and still got his boxing gloves on. Nice dress
25th November 2007
well played 5-0 Brandon
Well done boys, Jack, a superb start to the match. Nice passing & one touch balls from defence through to midfield & onto strikers. As I have said before the strikers can only score when balls are put through as was displayed today. Still a bit more talking required as we are still bunching at times. Congratulations goes to Aiden our reserve keeper keeping a clean sheet, Tom for his hat trick & also Crouchy for his goal. Man of the match George never gave up battling even against big oppostion (keep it up George!) Also well done to Brandon, Rosey, Bradley & Curtis stopping Acorns having a shot in the second half. Lets try & keep this form going into next weeks match against Parson Drove as we need the points more. John
23rd November 2007
Read the posting below. The only difference is that I'll be there and you'll have to listen to me as well. Good luck, and keep your positioning, team work wins games, Croatia proved that on Wednesday night. Chris
16th November 2007
Best of luck for Sunday lads. Keep your nerve, don't panic and most of all never give up. Listen to John, play simple football, use Conor for back passes. Shoot with power and accuracy, play as a team, but most of all enjoy yourselves. Playing football with a smile on your face annoys the hell out of the opposition. Chris p.s. TALK
There is nobody talkin....... Brandon Knight
24th October 2007
well hav parsons drove naxt time from dun dun dun p.s jack cooper
Don't think he'll want to wear them for training Gary it'll take him too long to take them off when he goes for his paddle !
23rd October 2007
Never mind Nolan what happened to Brian Habana did he play? I thought I caught a glimpse of him as Matt Tait went past him in
the build up to our TRY !!!!!!!!
Where has Nolan disappeared to, you can't still be celebrating. Do you think it is because the springboks needed the help of a corrupt Aussie official to help them limp to the world cup, dads army put up one hell of a fight, but then they had to, they were against fifteen players, one ref, two touch judges, and a video ref. By the way the same aussie was seen fitting Lewis Hamilton's gear box late saturday night as well.
Has everybody seen Chris in his stockings in the Lincs free press,i wonder if he is going to wear them at training tomorrow night. Gary K

Don't be disheartened by the result on saturday lads, this team are one of the finest passing teams you will ever come across in youth football. You matched them for 29 of the first 30 minutes. Good teams unfortunately punish mistakes, and better communication might have prevented the first 2 goals. But for a fantastic save by their keeper we could have been in front within the first 5 mins. Both John and myself were very proud that you never gave up and you played your hearts out for the whole hour. Keep focused and commited and we might be a bit luckier the next time we meet them. Chris p.s. I remember Nolan saying that if England win the world cup again then he would run through Holbeach naked singing swing low sweet chariot.
Yeah, Jonny might be coming, but he will firstly have to get the ball (the funny shaped one - looking like an egg) from Bryan Habana.....that is if he or the rest of the team can catch him!!! I suppose 'Dad's Army' will settle for another 36 - 0 white wash. Nolan Pretorius (Proud Springbok)

Is it just me or did anyone else notice that Roly didn't moan quite as much last night !!
10th October 2007
I think you should all lay off Roly. He is a kind sensitive soul who probably goes home, eagerly looks at the website to update his self on the team news, only to find abuse from his fellow supporters and so called friends. He then no doubt cries into his pillow while Daniel O'donnall plays a lovesong in the background. I hope I have made you all feel suitably ashamed and you should all go and give him a big hug next time you see him. Tina x
cum on boys we have got to beat parson drove this week lets play like we no we can jamie busley

Roly would moan even if he won the rollover lottery, because it would be ten years too late,or that he would have to share it. Any how if he didn't moan he'd have nothing to say.
You will never stop Roly MOANING ask his Mrs,she said he even does it in his sleep!!!!
4th October 2007
Roly was complaining at training on Wednesday that no new messages have been posted this week, please send in more
messages so we can stop Roly moaning !!

Another win !! Well done boys......Wisbech Acorns next !!!! - Nolan Pretorius
well played guys nice goal tom with ur left foot and good fre-kick rosey................ well played. : Samuel Marriott
Well done lads, not the most fluent of performances but a win is a win. We made some simple errors on Saturday (throw ins and clearances), which were rushed. Calm down and have the confidence to put your foot on the ball and take control of the situations you find yourselves in on the pitch. What I am pleased with is your teamwork and team spirit, with them both the results will always follow. A special word for the goal scorers. 2 nicely taken goals Jack, and a wonderful get of jail free kick from Rosie. I told John to get you take it!!!!!!! Chris

Well done lads this team we played won every game in the Peterborough league so as you can appreciate they are a very good side. I think what we lacked in football skills at times we made up for it with determination. Early night for every one tonight as Sean is very confident for tomorrows match so we need to be on top form & start the season well. CONGRATULATIONS goes to our goalie Connor Cable for he has been scouted by Nottingham Forest, good luck from everyone (pity it couldn't be a better side!!!) haha. John

Well done buys, again you have done all us parents proud. Keep up the good hard work and the Cup is yours this season!! - Nolan Pretorius
MANAGERS COMMENTS: Again lads you did me proud by winning, with good passing but lacked being able to finish the job. A lot of chances were created & not finished this is something we will need to work on in training, what we must remember is this is a weaker side in the league & four of their best players were on holiday!! We made hard work of this match when we could have won by a bigger goal difference if we had finished the job off properly! Well done to Jordy for his debut goal & winning us the match. Chins up boys & lets rectify our errors in training. John
Nice job everyone just scraped through in the end! But it was an exciting game! Brandon Knight
